Key workers

A member of staff is assigned as each child's key worker. The key worker monitors each child's progress and ensures records are kept up to date. These records are kept confidentially and parents may access them at anytime they wish. Key workers are normally the first point of contact for any questions. Parents are welcome to speak to them - or any other member of staff - at any time.

'Me at the Tree' books

Each child is provided with a 'Me at the Tree' diary which staff use to log details of the child's care on a daily or weekly basis (depending upon the child's age) to ensure parents are fully informed about how their child has been cared for. This is meant as a two-way communication process and parents are invited to add their own comments and feedback in the book.

Newsletters and notice boards

We provide parents with regular newsletters. More frequent updates are available on notice boards around the nursery which are updated daily.

Parents' evenings

We hold parents' evenings twice a year where parents can talk to their child's key worker about his or her development.
